As an individual or business, it is your responsibility to be aware of and to meet your tax filing/reporting deadlines. This calendar summarizes important tax reporting and filing data for individuals, businesses and other taxpayers for the month of April 2013.
April 3
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates March 27-29.
April 5
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates March 30-April 2.
April 10
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 3-5.
Employees who work for tips. Employees who received $20 or more in tips during March must report them to their employer using Form 4070.
April 12
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 6-9.
April 15
Individuals. Individuals file a 2012 income tax return (Form 1040 or Form 1040EZ) and pay any tax due.
Partnerships. File of 2012 calendar year return (Form 1065). Provide each partner with a Schedule K-1 (Form 1065), Partner’s Share of Income, Deductions, Credits, etc., or a substitute Schedule K-1.
April 17

April 19
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 13-16.
April 24
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 17-19.
April 26
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 20-23.
May 1
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 24-26.
May 3
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates April 27-30.
