December 2017 tax compliance calendar
As an individual or business, it is your responsibility to be aware of and to meet your tax filing/reporting deadlines. This calendar summarizes important federal tax reporting and filing data for individuals, businesses and other taxpayers for the month of December 2017.
December 1
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for Nov 25–Nov 28.
December 6
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for Nov 29–Dec 1.
December 8
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for Dec 2–Dec 5.
December 11
Employees who work for tips. Employees who received $20 or more in tips during November must report them to their employer using Form 4070.
December 13
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for Dec 6–Dec 8.
December 15
Corporations. Deposit the fourth installment payment for 2017 estimated income tax.
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for Dec 9–Dec 12.
Employers. For those to whom the monthly deposit rule applies, deposit employment taxes and nonpayroll withholding for payments in November 2017.
December 20
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for Dec 13–Dec.15
December 22
